I began my filmmaking journey during my Junior year at Colby College, during which I made my first short film, the documentary "Blaxpression," which was screened at the 2023 Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF). Afterwards, I made that 15-minute short film into a feature length documentary, "Blaxpression*," with the help of Colby College's Big Ideas Grant. These films served as a personal exploration of Black art and culture from the perspectives of my peers and myself, while also serving to develop my filmmaking skills. Going forward, I plan to capture a wider breadth of experiences while continuing to focus on the voices of marginalized groups in conjunction with my own interests.
As of 2025, I am in the process of completing two documentaries featuring the African American Cultural and Historical Museum and a local juice bar by the name of No Label, along with an exploration of Ann Arbor's environment and ecosystems.
I primarily work in Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Ableton Live, and Clip Studio Paint, though I make it a point to explore new and upcoming art production technology.
